For having the 'literal' body of a goddess, Sonya found that it didn't come with physical endurance. She never thought of Scorpion's hut being that far, but she kept having to fight off the nagging inner complaints of the heat, the humidity and the bugs, and just walk. She had to make it to Scorpion's hut, and even if this island prank got him to atleast she could make sure whoever ended up as him wouldn't do anything stupid, or she could just hang out at his place until this situation blew over.

The most decent thing Sonya could find to wear-in her opinion-was a pink sundress made from some flimsy fabric that was cool but kept billowing in what may've been a rather romantic look, but it was useless while walking through the jungle. The closest pair of practical shoes she could find were a wedge sandals that laced up her legs, and she was past missing her combat books.

She tried to not appear to out of sorts when she finally reached his hut, and stopped when she saw him knock his head on a branch.

The Scorpion she knew would never be that clumsy, he was too careful and too aware-and he would definitely not run out like that unless he was after an enemy (and even then he'd never run out at them).

Sonya frowned-though it looked more like a pout-and resisted the urge to put her hands on her hips. "Okay, who are you and what've you done with Scorpion?"

Clutching my forehead, I look over at the newcomer. My brow furrows, as I don't recognize the woman. But clearly she knows me. Or, rather, who I'm in at the moment.

Then I registered what she'd called me.

"Whoa, wait. I'm Scorpion?" I looked down at myself. I'd met the guy once. He'd been fighting with Sonya. It had been a little awkward, but he'd seemed okay. He was also much taller and so much more fearsome that I thought I was letting the side down just being inside here.

I look up at the woman, desperate. "The Island's done something. I've woken up in Scorpion's body. I want my old body back!"

It was so strange hearing 'him' talk in that manner. He was usually so calm, even when angry-which actually only made him appear more intimidating from the outside.

"Join the club..." She tried to hold back calling him 'honey'-this wasn't scorpion (just his body) and she wouldn't call him an endearment at a moment like this. "Just who are you, really?"

Good god, this would've been so much easier if she didn't sound like some blonde stereotype.

"I'm..." I begin, then stumble a little. It feels odd introducing myself in this new body. Like a strange new form of nudity. "I'm Polly," I said. I cocked my head. "You?"

Well this was just peachy.

She let out a huff, thinking just how wrong this was: bad enough this wasn't scorpion, it was a young woman in his body.

That in of itself was so many shades of wrong.

"Sonya. Now for gods sake could we get you in some clothes." Not that she didn't mind him walking around like that, but not like this.

I jerked up. "Sonya!" The woman who'd saved my life from that maniac. Then I took in -- really took in -- the woman in front of me. I blinked. "Sonya!" Then I winced. "Oh, no, not you too!"

At her mention of clothes, I looked down at myself. "Clothes. Right. Good idea. I may need help." I turned to march right back into Scorpion's hut, and whacked my head on a low branch. Again.

I looked up from my place on the ground. "Ow!"

Sonya resisted the urge to run a hand over her face.

"Yes, me too."

"Lets, just go in. And try to not hurt yourself."

When this was all back to normal, she promised herself not to go into details about this-it would make Scorpion commit hari kiri for sure.

Scorpion finally made it back to his hut. It was a strange feeling to move more slowly. His own form had a much larger stride than Percy did. The walk had been relatively quiet despite a few attempts from Zell to strike up a conversation. He was anxious to find out what else was going on.

Then he saw himself standing outside of his hut. It was a strange sight to see one's self. To his disappointment, he immediately noted the more feminine body language. No matter.

He also saw a very feminine woman standing there looking at him. 'Very feminine' did not seem appropriate enough of a term. Could that possibly be.....Sonya?

[OOC: He'll talk to both Polly and Sonya.]

Apparently this Scorpion guy was not exactly a barrel of laughs. Or maybe he was just pissed off with the island. Or both. He really couldn't blame the guy. Zell was just thankful he hadn't been directly affected this time. The island had already screwed with him plenty.

As he and Scorpion approached a very isolated hut, he saw Aphrodite and a very large man. He could imagine the large man was Scorpion's body. But, who were the people inside?

I was seeing spots. Should I be seeing spots?

As I tried to blink away the ache between my eyes, I realized that I was being stared at by a young man. Then I realized I recognized the man. Wasn't he Zell's friend, who'd tried to kiss him to scare me away on Valentine's Day. Why was he staring at me so intently.

"Um... hi," I said, rubbing the developing bruise between my eyes. "Percy, isn't it? Um... are you Percy?"

I also wondered, if Percy was here, was Zell far behind?

After speaking to Scorpion-in-Percy, I caught sight of Zell, and my face lit up. "Zell!" I exclaimed. Then I froze.

I'd talked about this as a new and strange form of nudity before. Now, standing in front of my boyfriend, this feeling was far more intense. I wasn't sure I wanted Zell to see me like this.

But he deserved to know.

I grimaced. "Zell?"

She saw Percy appear, noting the stare he gave to Scorpion and why it looked so familiar.

Actually, why was he staring like that at all. Sure, Percy had experienced things other kids hadn't, but he was still a kid. And what gave him the idea to walk here anyway? The area around Scorpion's hut was fairly isolated, and Scorpion never mentioned a friendship with Percy-he may've been on good terms with him, but nothing more..

Unless...

Sonya narrowed her eyes at 'Percy'-if she found herself in a different body, and Polly found herself in Scorpion's body than that could also mean.

"You're really Scorpion, are you." Her voice was hesitant, like she wasn't sure she wanted to believe this.

Zell hadn't actually planned to talk to Scorpion's body. Scorpion was way too frickin' tall. Tall people made him feel even shorter than he already was. And to boot, Scorpion was about the same height as Seifer. Maybe that's one reason Zell avoided tall people.

He looked up to Scorpion's face, and as the realization hit, his jaw slackened and fell open.

"POLLY?!"

His mind failed to comprehend.

I curled up and looked away. "Zell," I said. This was so awkward! "I-I'm sorry. I'm not looking my best right now."

Polly was upset!!!

Alarm bells rung in his mind. The bizzare appearance didn't matter for a moment. He went up to her/him and put an arm over to her/his shoulder.

"Polly. It's not your fault. C'mon, look at me. It'll be okay."

My heart twists. Zell is being so sweet and kind and I wish to do the same in return, but I can't. It's too odd in this body, and I'm sure that the body's owner would object.

I look at Zell. I'm sorry to say that my eyes are watering. "I hate Island magic," I said.

"I've been changed like you have. I am Scorpion, and it appears that you are putting my body through a good amount of abuse."

His tone wasn't completely friendly.

"Who are you?"

I winced, though whether it was from shame, or the pain between my eyes, I wasn't sure. "Scorpion. I'm sorry. I'm not used to being so tall. I'm Polly. We've met, remember?" I nodded over at the woman in frilly pink. "Sonya introduced us."

Oh! No, no, no, no, no!

Zell could not bear a crying Polly. He didn't exactly give a damn that Scorpion was standing nearby talking to Aphrodite. Polly needed a hug, and he was gonna give one to her whether or not he approved.

So, he reached his arms around her and held her.

"Shhhhh, it's not so bad. It's only for a couple days tops. I'm here with you. You've got me. No matter what the island does to you, you're still my Polly. Besides, maybe you can have some fun being a huge guy for a few days. Won't get a chance like that at home, would ya'?"

Sonya had had enough. On top of that she kept feeling peeved that non of these guys were paying attention to her.

"Hey! Hands off buddy!" She yelled out, pointing a finger at the two. Island switch or not, she was not going to have scorpion behave like this-even if it wasn't him.

This was bogus, and she thought the love spell was bad.

Despite the horror at the thought that I could be like this for days, despite the awkwardness, I accepted Zell's hug, resting my chin on the top of his head. I was about to tell him to stuff any suggestion that I do things with this body -- if only because it wasn't wise to have a ninja angry at you -- when Sonya interrupted. I jerked back, shocked, and then I suddenly understood how very, very complicated things had become.

"Sonya, please," I begged. "This is hard on all of us! What do you expect me to do?!"

"I remember you. I expect you to tend to that bruise you're developing. Have Zell take you to the clinic. Look where you're going."

Scorpion could not imagine being so clumsy and unaware of one's surroundings. Young girls...

"I should tell you that Percy Jackson is currently in your body. It seems we've made a three-way trade."

From:

I blinked at the young man/ninja. "Thanks," I said. Percy-in-my-body, I noticed, wasn't here. Why wasn't he here, when his body was over here? What would that young man be doing with my body?

I rubbed my forehead again. "I-I'll take more care. I promise. It's just a bump, though. I'm fine."

At least, I hoped it was fine. Everything else wasn't

"Yo, stuff it, Sonya! She's freaking out, and she's my girlfriend! Your boyfriend's over there, remember?"

He turned to Polly and softened his tone.

"C'mon, let's head off towards your place or somethin', alright?"

He took the huge guy by the hand and led him forward. It felt like he was some kid pulling his daddy towards the ice cream truck. Wrong.

Sonya frowned and placed her hands on her hips.

"Hello!" It came out that way before she could stop herself. "It's called 'face' and the way you're behaving is making me think of him loosing it so fast he'd probably kill himself for it."

She tried to pull herself together. "Try to have some dignity will you. You think this is easy for me-I'm basically some teen boy's blonde fantasy here."

We were all starting to lose it, here. Well, except for Scorpion-in-Percy, and that might not be so good, either. Silence in someone like Scorpion was probably a threat in itself. We all had to pull ourselves together, and I figured it would have to start with me.

"Okay, hold it," I said, to everyone. "We're not doing ourselves any bit of good by fighting. The Island did this to us, and we're giving it just what we want by shouting -- myself included," I added hurriedly. "We've got to wait this out. Any suggestions how and where, and what ground rules we follow?"

I took a deep breath, and added, "I suggest we go by who we know we are inside. I'm Polly. You're Sonya. He's Scorpion. We'll conduct ourselves accordingly. And, we'll promise to leave give back our bodies in just the same condition as we got them in." I winced as another twinge between my eyes made itself felt. "Well, barring a few unfortunate accidents, anyway. Okay?"

Sonya felt ill.

"No fucking way. You're in percy's body!" This was just sick.

Sonya tried to compose herself: it wasn't easy, as she kept wanting to through a hissy fit.

"It's me, Sonya-I woke up in Aphrodite's body."

Sonya actually huffed.

"Fine, just..please, keep the PDA," was she actually saying this. "to a minimun. I'm trying to save Scorpion's reputation here."

She rubbed her forehead and trying to hold back her own emotions. "This sucks."
